At Rocco Torro, you can own a personal barrel of aging agave spirit, crafted from our giant Karoo piñas and matured under ideal, natural conditions. Your barrel stays in our aging room, where warm days, cool nights, and dry Karoo air accelerate maturation and build exceptional flavour.

After three years, your spirit qualifies as Extra Añejo—one of the rarest and most valuable categories in the agave world and typically valued at more than double the purchase price. You may then bottle it under your own label, ship the barrel home, or continue aging it for even greater future value.

Your Investment

HOW IT WORKS

You purchase both the barrel and the spirit it contains. Throughout maturation, the spirit remains with us, where it is monitored and safely stored. Natural evaporation (the angel’s share) reduces volume but increases concentration, richness, and rarity—enhancing the value of your final Extra Añejo.

  • New Oak accelerates extraction, ideal for smaller barrels and quicker flavour development.

After 3 Years

Your Options

Option 1 — Bottle and Refill (First Priority Slot)

  • We will bottle your ‘Extra Añejo’ for you
  • You may supply your own bottle, cap and label, or choose one of our premium bottles
  • Filter, bottle, and ship the finished product (Shipping/courier fees will apply)

If you choose to refill your empty barrel, it will be cleaned and refilled immediately, securing your priority position in the aging room for the next cycle.

If you choose not to refill, we will purchase barrel from you at nominal fee or send empty barrel to you.

Option 2 – Continue Aging

You may continue aging your barrel with us for longer than three years.

  • A premium annual storage fee applies for extended aging.
  • This is subject to available aging room capacity.

** Angel’s share- Overtime the barrels breathe and lose alcohol typically 5% per annum.

Limited Aging Room Capacity

Our barrel-aging room has strictly limited slots to ensure ideal temperature, humidity, and resting space for each barrel. As demand grows, these aging positions will become increasingly limited and highly sought after.

Barrel owners who choose to refill their barrel after bottling will receive first priority for future aging slots.

    Communication and Abandonment Policy

    If we are unable to contact you on your listed contact numbers after three months on completion of the 3 year period
    * We will bottle the spirit using our in-house bottles
    * Return the empty barrel to our stocks

    If we still receive no communication after one year, the bottled spirit will be sold
    * Half of the proceeds will cover storage and handling costs
    * Half will be donated to a charity of our choosing.

    We have standard fire and theft insurance.
